Here are some photos of our babies, all eight of them. (That's what I said.)

But first, some background info. Tapanga, our main cat, belonged to Candy before we got married. So, basically, it's her house and the rest of us are just interlopers. Especially Marimba, who I adopted shortly after Candy and I began dating. Since she was the first additional cat, she bore (and still bears) the brunt of Tapanga's wrath.

Jynx was the next to join our happy group, courtesy of Friends of Strays. She's a Daddy's girl, and my favorite.

Willow, our next addition, came from the SPCA. We just dropped in one Saturday, spotted her, and fell in love.

The next four are the offspring of our resident stray cat, Margeaux, so named because she's a Hemingway cat (extra toes on each foot / paw). Her first litter consisted of Eli (named for the Three Dog Night song "Eli's Coming") and Ali (pronounced like McGraw, not Muhammad). Margeaux's second litter produced five little ones, three of which were given good homes with some friends of ours. That left us with Aja (named after my favorite Steely Dan song) and Katy (named after the Steely Dan album "Katy Lied").
